Welcome!
Welcome!
My name is Sarah Jiyoon Kwon (권지윤 in Korean). I am an assistant professor at the Department of Social Welfare at the University of Seoul. I hold a Ph.D. in Social Policy and Policy Analysis from the School of Social Work at Columbia University with a concentration in Economics. My research is motivated by a desire to promote the lives of young children and their families. I study child and family policy and its effect on child and family well-being in South Korea and the United States.
My piece in Korean, featured in the Bank of Korea's March newsletter on Korean child and family policy, encapsulates the focus of my studies.
A cup of decaf iced latte and some good K-pop music are my daily inspiration.
